The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance manager you will be required to carry out a variety of general buildings tasks on our estate, including brick / block laying, pointing, plastering of walls and ceilings, roofing, paving, groundwork's, and repairs. As part of a multi skilled team you may also be required to work across trades from time to time to assist other members of the team. The work will be across student accommodation and university teaching spaces. Prioritizing your work daily that is issued through the Archibus system you will autonomy to gather quotes for materials which Estates admin will order or order direct from University suppliers.

Required skills and experience 

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and will have served a recognized apprenticeship, be able to demonstrate good all round competence and experience of working safely on a wide range of building types, be physically fit, able to work at h...
