**Description**

**Job Description:**


* Set up and operate all types of gear manufacturing equipment including gear cutters, gear grinders, gear shavers, lapping machines, etc., to produce a wide variety of gears and splines including spiral bevel, helical and hypoid gears.


* Set-ups and work must be held to extremely close tolerances.


* Advises and assists in development of new gears and gears cutting processes.


* Tests and checks gears using gear testing and checking machines and equipment.


* Sets up and/or performs all grinding on case hardened surfaces.
**Tools & Equipment Used:**


* All types of gear manufacturing, testing, and checking equipment, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.
**Qualifications**

**Experience & Other Requirements:**


* Three years’ experience as a Gear Cutter and Grinde...
