Position Overview
SMH Innovations is seeking one (1) Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist for part-time, long-term coverage at Providence St. Mary s Medical Center .
This is a supplemental coverage need with a planned assignment from March 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027 , pending completion of credentialing and privileging. Assignment Details
* Start: March 2026 (upon completion of privileging)
* Setting: Inpatient (primary) with limited outpatient clinic as needed
* Coverage Commitment:
* 2 weeks per month (part-time, long-term)
* Coverage Type: Scheduled clinic hours + call
* EMR: Epic
Schedule & Call
* Inpatient Coverage:
* 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
* Night call after shift
* Weekend Coverage:
* 24-hour call coverage
* Outpatient Clinic (if needed):
* Up to 1 day per week
* Provider will return to the hospital to complete a 12-hour shift after the clinic
