Job Description

• Weaving & Assembly: Interlace materials (rattan, wicker, synthetic fiber) around wooden or metal frames to form chairs, tables, and benches.
• Material Preparation: Soak, cut, bend, and shape natural or synthetic materials to make them pliable enough for weaving.
• Quality Inspection: Check finished furniture for durability, aesthetic appeal, and structural integrity.
• Repairs: Repair damaged or broken weaves, such as traditional cane seats.
• Finishing: Apply protective coatings like lacquer or varnish to finished products to protect against corrosion, fire, or parasites.
• Collaboration: Work alongside frame makers and designers to meet specific design.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in furniture weaving is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
