Function Design Engineer – Aftertreatment OBD

• Lead the development of OBD and OBM control concepts for diesel, hybrid, and hydrogen engines, ensuring compliance with OBD regulations
• Design and verify new OBD diagnostic concepts, performing impact analysis to support regulatory requirements
• Develop controller concepts, evaluate supplier capabilities, and provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with internal teams (OBD calibration, validation, compliance) and act as a liaison between suppliers and PACCAR for OBD/OBM solutions
• Analyze new hardware changes or control strategies to assess OBD impacts
• Support principal engineers in CARB discussions with technical insights and simulations

• Bachelor or Master degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of emissions and OBD regulations
