The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of full-time Baker (Floater). This position will float between our Winnipeg and rural locations, with our Grant Park Food Store being their home base. This position reports to the Bakery Manager. The Baker adds value to our Co-operative by delivering world-class customer service; preparing dough and mixes and producing baked goods; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
Utilize established Co-op recipes and procedures to measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter.
Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pastry, cookies, and related products.
Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bake in oven. Observe products while cooking and adjust controls.
Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
