Job Description
Under broad direction, a Geoscientist, Associate II applies advanced knowledge gained through a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and internal training to perform detailed analyses of highly specialised sensor data obtained from hydrocarbon reservoirs, including production, nuclear spectroscopy, acoustics, and electromagnetic analyses. The analyses are performed using highly specialised scientific methods, such as interpreting algorithms and workflows, that translate the measured data into hydrocarbon reservoir rock and fluid properties. The Geoscientist, Assoc II compiles the resulting analyses and their findings in a report that is provided to oil and gas company customers. They exercise discretion in selecting the parameters used in their analyses and in determining whether there are quality issues with the sensor data.
