FREIGHT RATE SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a FREIGHT RATE SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the research, verification, approval, and certification of Federal Express Ground shipment billings. You will review various shipments of hazardous, temperature sensitive, fragile, oversized, urgent, or other freight not covered by standing route orders. You will compile data for exact and accurate entry requirements on appropriate bills of lading for hazardous materials, sensitive/classified material, and personal property shipments. You will determine the classification, routing, consignment, rate structure, and cost estimate of shipments according to priority, DOD, cost savings, and security factors.
