Job Description

Title: Freight Clerk
Location:  Lemont, IL
Salary: $51,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week
Focus: The Freight Clerk is responsible for the review and payment authorization of applicable NA truck 3PL freight invoices, and the cost recovery and reporting of related truck accessorial charges.
 

Freight Clerk Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with timely and accurate response to proof of delivery requests, invoice submission to Freight Payables, and customer service or stakeholder inquiries.
Review of all unplanned truck accessorial freight invoices for payment authorization, research, and any payment shortages for resolution or escalation.
Generate invoices for truck accessorial charges according to customer & contract specifications and prepare and distribute related cost and recovery reporting.
