Technical Translator (French to German, German to French) – Madrid

Freelance or Staff employee positions available within ORTEC Engineering’s Linguistics Department. This role is based in Madrid and focuses on technical translation of aircraft maintenance and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Analyze source documentation authored in French or German in collaboration with technical authors.
• Translate documents from French to German and from German to French.
• Manage translation memories using TRADOS software.
• Perform cross‑check processes in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures.

Qualifications

• Translation or Interpretation studies, or equivalent experience.
• Experience translating technical texts from French to German or vice versa, including aircraft maintenance manuals, industrial installation instructions, and ground vehicle maintenance.
