Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
The Medical Sonography Technologist specialized in clinical and technical work involving the use of ultrasound to construct images of the heart and related cardiac structures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a Cardiac Sonography Program Certificate and certification with Sonography Canada.
Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to perform the duties of the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical Sonography Technologist - Cardiac is responsible for: 
Preparing patients for cardiac ultrasound examinations
Preparing and operating equipment used in cardiac ultrasound examinations
Screening test results and preparing reports for physicians
Cleaning, inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining cardiac ultrasound equipment
Maintaining clinical records and documentation
