The forklift operator for 48forty Solutions moves pallets and other materials through the different areas of the pallet plant, supporting production requirements as well as loading and unloading trailers. 48forty general labor or forklift operators also power sort pallets as part of their daily responsibilities in some locations. The forklift operator is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize the efficiency. The operator moves levers and presses pedals to drive the fork truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus. They position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets and transport the load to designated areas.
