Summary This position is located in the Office of Press and Public Diplomacy (PPD) in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA). NEA leads U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and North Africa region through carefully administered diplomacy, advocacy, and assistance that advances the interests, safety, and economic prosperity of the American people. PPD and posts use all public diplomacy tools to advance strategic priorities, expand America's network of influence in the region. Responsibilities Serves as the lead action officer in assigned program area/geographic region. Monitors, evaluates, and coordinates program requirements against established implementation goals. Liaises with the department, governmental and multilateral organizations to inform and explain U.S. policies/programs. Drafts policy memoranda and positions papers for senior Departmental officials to use in meetings.
