**Position Summary:**

The Rehabilitation Services Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment of hospital patients in a range of specialty programs.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**

+ Demonstrates competency with individualized assessment of patients using a wide variety of assessment measures and procedures.
+ Formulates individualized, age specific, therapy goals based upon assessment results and patient needs.
+ Implements patient care in a manner consistent with the therapy goals and the changing needs of the patient using a variety of therapeutic approaches.
+ Orients patients and families to the therapeutic purposes and procedures of Speech-Language Pathology, and educates them about home programs, impairments and progress.
