Responsibilities You will administer medications and solutions orally or intravenously under the direction of standing orders or of an off-site physician. You will interpret an electrocardiogram (EKG) for a patient with an unstable heartbeat to determine future medical treatment. You will provide invasive airway procedures (e.g., needle or surgical cricothyrotomy, pleural decompression, endotracheal intubation, nasal intubation).
