The Fire Inspector supports the Fire Prevention Program at Ascension Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF), a remote U.S. Space Force installation, by executing critical functions to identify, mitigate, and prevent fire hazards across the base. This position ensures compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force, and contractual fire protection standards.

Key responsibilities include conducting facility fire safety inspections; verifying the operability and compliance of fire protection systems and extinguishers; reviewing construction and renovation plans for code adherence; educating personnel on fire prevention practices; and supporting investigations of fire-related incidents. The Fire Inspector contributes directly to mission assurance by safeguarding life, property, and operational continuity through proactive code enforcement and hazard reduction.
