Job Description

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Analyst to join our multidisciplinary engineering team for a 2-year fixed term contract. You will play a key role in the mechanical design and structural integrity assessment of components critical to the Diamond-II upgrade, including high-precision accelerator and beamline systems. Many of the FEA applications at Diamond include the ability of optical and mechanical components to handle high heat loads without excessive deformation, vibration or a material durability issue.

Responsibilities will include:
Performing advanced FEA simulations (static, thermal) on complex mechanical systems.

Supporting the design and optimisation of accelerator and beamline components, including vacuum vessels, support structures, precision assemblies and X-ray optics.
