Financial Controller (Montreal)

Role Overview

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for all accounting activities. This role will play a strategic part in the finance team, participate in projects that have a real impact, and will collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

What you will do:

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay cycles.
• Supervise a team of 3–4 responsible for billing, accounts payable and general accounting.
• Review customer contracts and invoices to ensure proper billing, sales‑tax application and revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
• Review and approve supplier invoices to ensure proper recording and alignment with delegation of authority.
• Maintain the general ledger by preparing, reviewing and posting journal entries and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
