Job Description

Responsible for screening under insured patients for assistance programs or any in house discount programs. Enrolls patients o to Sate Medicaid Program, Health Insurance Exchange, Medicare and Insurance Pool as well as Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs.
* Medicaid Determiner Certification
*Health Insurance Exchange Enrollment Certification
Coordinate with the patient, physician, insurance company and hospital on the complete pre-certification process, including second opinions and tertiary referrals.
Review patient treatment protocols and determine insurance benefits and patient responsibility.
Screen patients thoroughly for possible financial assistance.
Discuss payment arrangements with patients for outstanding patient balances.
Work with pharmaceutical companies and other resources to obtain grants and financial aid for patients in need.
