Financial Accountant

The unification of Unitec and Manukau Institute of Technology - two respected institutions with over 50 years of service will transform Auckland’s public vocational education landscape.

We're seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting audit activities, and providing valuable financial insights to stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a varied and rewarding role for an accounting professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder engagement. You'll be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, supporting annual financial statements, and helping ensure compliance with accounting standards and organisational requirements.
