Finance Assistant

Large paper product manufacturer is looking for a Veteran to train as the Finance Assistant working for the CFO. A strong candidate will have good computer skills and know the basics of bookkeeping and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
? Process accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment scheduling, and vendor reconciliations
? Manage open accounts receivable, including tracking overdue payments, sending reminders, and resolving billing disputes
? Prepare and distribute weekly cash flow reports, highlighting variances and forecasting needs
? Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, coordinating with production and procurement teams
? Assist with month-end close processes, general ledger entries, and financial data entry
? Collaborate with sales, production, and quality teams to resolve financial discrepancies and support cross-departmental needs
