My client is one of the UK’s leading energy generation companies with a well-established and highly respected business based within commutable distance from Leicester. They are currently looking for a skilled Finance Department Assistant (Maternity Cover).

Role – Finance Department Assistant

• Processing incoming emails and posts, including downloading and checking PDF invoices
• Checking purchase invoices for accuracy, including PO numbers and VAT validation
• Uploading invoices into approval workflows and forwarding to budget holders
• Inputting approved invoices into internal systems
• Producing weekly payment runs
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Assisting with accruals and prepayment journals at the month‑end
• Monitoring the company Barclaycard's spending
