Field Welding Engineer

Job Summary

The Welding Field Engineer duties include interpreting welding design drawings and specifications, field verification of materials, welder testing and heat treat/stress relief, and aiding welding personnel as required. This position is not considered the design authority for the project, but only to enforce welding construction per design. Responsible for the performance of a broad range of construction quality control activities within an assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for implementation of quality control procedures and policies to ensure field activities conform to project specifications. Receives technical and operational direction from on-site supervising quality control engineer or other assigned supervising manager. Provides technical and administrative direction to subordinate lead field welding engineer and technical and clerical support staff, as assigned. #LI-BH1
