Facilities Superintendent

Under the general direction of the Facilities Superintendent, performs administrative, supervisory, and daily operational duties for the City's treatment facilities (potable water, wastewater and reclaimed water) and their assigned personnel. Duties include supervision of personnel and the maintenance and planning of treatment processes to ensure all treatment goals are met; as well as ongoing assessment and planning to ensure the continued operation of the facilities. Duties shall also include the proper tracking of treatment data and preparation of regulatory submittals to meet permitting requirements. Position requires the application of independent judgment in planning and directing the operations of the facilities which meets regulatory requirements. Assignments are made orally or in writing and work is reviewed through observation of results obtained, conferences, and periodic reports or evaluations.
