The role of Fabricator Welder

• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components to the highest standard of finish
• Grind, sand, polish and detail fabrications to a required finish using hand tools and power tools
• Problem solving and decision making
• Able to work with no or minimum supervision
• Following daily plans and working to deadlines
• Recording all builds using internal database
• Communicate with supervisors on progress, issues and problems
• Be flexible and assist in other departments if required

The ideal Fabricator Welder

• MIG TIG aluminium and stainless steel experience
• General education to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above including Maths and English, or equivalent
• Apprentice trained or time served
