Expert Tax Accounting & Planning

The role is responsible for managing tax accounting, compliance, forecasting and reporting activities to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to applicable tax laws. The position supports business planning through tax forecasting and works closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants and group reporting teams.

The role reports directly to the Manager of Accounting & Planning and has no direct reports, working with an extended team of 12 members.

Responsibilities

• Determine and record accurate current and deferred tax impacts on a monthly basis in accordance with IAS 12
• Perform variance analysis for inclusion in monthly management reports and forecasts
• Prepare quarterly tax reporting packages and position papers for group reporting and share with VEON
