Seaspan Shipyards is hiring an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead the payroll operations for unionized employees with a focus on compliance and accuracy. Enjoy an optional hybrid work arrangement after initial onboarding.
In this role, you will report to the Payroll Manager and oversee the timely processing of full-cycle payroll including audits and reconciliations. You are expected to provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing support to Payroll Clerks and Timekeepers while fostering a customer-focused, accountable team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage complex payroll processing and deadlines
• Ensure payroll adheres to collective agreements
• Conduct payroll audits and reporting for accuracy
• Support annual payroll functions and T4 preparation
• Provide coaching and training for payroll staff
