Experienced Midwives for Locum Roles

Seeking dedicated locum midwives for short-term assignments in Puvirnituq, Salluit, and Inukjuak, from July to September. Engage in vital maternity care and education in a cross-cultural setting.
These positions are designed for experienced midwives ready to support community health through direct maternity care and teaching initiatives. You will not only aid in the labour and delivery process but also mentor nursing personnel and students. Active collaboration with local staff and community engagement are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the maternity ward’s daily operations
• Collaborate with local nursing and medical staff
• Mentor students in midwifery education programs
• Participate in program evaluation and improvements
Requirements:
• Valid authorization to work in Canada
• Up-to-date Obstetric Emergency Skills certification
• Minimum one year of clinical midwifery practice (preferred)
