Support The Care Group in Qualicum Beach as a Cook’s Assistant and Deep Cleaner. This role involves evening shifts (7 pm to 11 pm) focused on cleanliness and food preparation in a caring environment.
This part-time position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen while assisting cooks in food preparation tasks. You will strategically clean hard-to-reach areas, ensure compliance with cleaning regulations, and contribute to a resident-focused care philosophy. The Care Group operates across multiple care levels, dedicated to quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment regularly
• Record and address dish machine temperature issues
• Help with food prep directed by Chef
• Clean surfaces throughout the kitchen thoroughly
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment
Requirements:
• Preferred education of Grade 10 minimum
• Food Safe and WHIMIS certificates required
• Must pass TB screening
