Equipment Operator

Location: Townsville

Aurizon’s Townsville depot team is seeking a safety focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join them on a full time permanent basis. This role will see you operating various types of mobile equipment, such as forklifts, reach stackers, front end loader, excavator.

• Rotating roster of Dayshift & Nightshift and weekend shifts as well as opportunity for overtime.
• Permanent full time residential position with Australia’s Largest Freight Operator.

About the role:

• Operate various mobile equipment ranging from 3 tonne forklifts up to 45 tonne reach stackers.
• Loading and unloading of various containerised/palletised freight for trucks and rail line.
• Communicate effectively via two-way radios with team members and coordinator.
• Conduct relevant pre-start vehicle checks for operating machinery
