Equipment Operator (Residential Shallow Utilities) (Sherwood Park)

Our Distribution group is currently looking to add an Equipment Operator to our growing team, based in Sherwood Park, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Subdivisions, we are seeking an experienced operator to support new shallow underground utility construction work in residential subdivisions around Edmonton. The main equipment would be a trackhoe and backhoe.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and appropriate manner.
• Understanding of soil mechanics and work with geotechnical engineers on density testing of soils.
• Be aware of proper rigging equipment and procedures for lifting materials.
• Complete daily equipment inspection forms.
• Participate in daily Safety Meetings and Hazard Assessments.
• Participate in daily work planning schedule meetings.
• Have a sound understanding of issues relating to ground disturbance.
