The plant is notable for its utilization of B&W Boilers and Westinghouse Steam Turbine Generators, controlled by an ABB DCS system.

Niles CT-A is a fuel-oil fired Westinghouse W-251-B with remote start, while Brunot Island features an 18 MW fuel-oil CT and a 243 MW 3×1 combined cycle unit, serving as key regional power assets.”
