Environmental Advisor

About the role

Environmental Adviser supporting environmental controls and mitigations for a major transmission project spanning approximately 80 km across the Scottish Highlands, based primarily in Alness, Scotland. Reports to the Environmental Lead within the HSESQ team and works onsite to ensure minimal environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of UIPT&D’s environmental strategy and standards.
• Provide technical support to facilitate the Contract Environmental Management Plan and enforce HSSE policy obligations.
• Identify, interpret and communicate legal, industry and contractual environmental obligations to the project and its contractors.
• Develop and deliver training on key environmental aspects to increase awareness across the business.
• Collaborate with assurance teams to conduct environmental inspections and audits as required.
