ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR)

Summary

Position: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR). The role is within the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, Nuclear Quality Division of Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and review procedures from other shipyard organizations pertaining to nuclear quality and/or radiological controls.
• Review the work of engineers, technicians, scientists, radiological, production, etc. personnel in the shipyard.
• Monitor the work of inspectors, radiological technicians and shop mechanics to ensure conformance with approved procedures and specifications.

Conditions of Employment
