Job Overview

The Engineering Technician is responsible for testing wiring devices and components to ensure they meet the specified quality and performance standards of the Engineering Department and/or certification agencies.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 
Setting up routine electrical and mechanical test equipment for the testing of wiring 

devices and/or components thereof. 

Building test fixtures and test equipment as requested by supervisor. 

Performing standards and special tests on wiring devices and/or components thereof. 

Recording the results and writing lab reports on the tests that were performed. 

Assisting certification agency representatives in the inspection and testing of wiring devices and their associated products.
