Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in remote/hybrid setups across Portugal (Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra).

Work Setup: Hybrid (One day per week on-site)

Must Have

• 5+ years of backend experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
• System design rigor at Amazon/Google level
• Strong technical leadership skills, able to guide teams and make architecture decisions
• Experience managing engineering teams, including performance management

• Define technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems.
• Validate designs, technical decisions, and manage trade-offs to ensure technology choices support business and strategic objectives.
