Engineering Designer, Mechanical

Duties

• Design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Prepare and coordinate approvals, tender documents, cost estimates, contract documents, reports and technical memoranda.
• Assess condition of existing equipment. Plan demolition and construction sequencing.
• Perform ventilation, cooling/heating load analysis and piping/duct design.
• Handle air emissions and acoustics matters.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, Revit models and specifications as required.
• Participate in contract administration and inspections of HVAC and plumbing installations where required.
• Perform other duties as appropriate for the position.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
