Engineer 2, Product Design

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Creation of 2D/3D, concepts, improvement proposals for new developments. Ensure design works hit each phase gate and release the product on time with few guidance.

-Responsible for connector concept design, the candidate should have strong skills to output to customers through 3D and engineering reports.

-Connector design and manufacturing experience is a must. It is better to integrate different types of connector experience and cable experience.

-FMEA and risk analysis (use of FEA, GD&T, tolerance analysis)

-Responsible for identifying, defining test procedure, DVP&R for any new product

-Work with cross function team on design review to ensure product design has good DFM

-Prepare and manage related engineering documents.

·Conduct technical communication with customers on their requirements, transform the requirements into best design or improvement solutions.
