EMS Program Medical Director and Associate Professor (Fellowship)

This position is required by the Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The hours required for this position include, but are not limited to, monthly meetings with staff, lectures delivered to students, review of content and exam materials, assistance with scheduling physician and expert guest lectures, attendance at all advisory board meetings, and availability as needed to handle student issues relating to didactic or clinical work experiences. The medical director serves as the medical conscience of the system they direct and is an essential part of delivering quality education to initial and continuing learners. The fellowship provides an opportunity for the Medical Director to engage in academic teaching within an accredited paramedic program.
