Emergency Room RN - Days

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room. Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system. Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines. An emergency nurse must have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions. Provides safe and effective nursing care to the emergency room patient and/or outpatient. Provide direct patient care including but not limited to medication administration, transferring patients and assisting with activities of daily living, wound management, line/tube/drain management, performing and assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety.
