Emergency Psychiatry, Psychiatry - Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program Evenings - Physician

St. Josephs Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) team. This key position provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients experiencing acute behavioral health emergencies. The CPEP psychiatrist plays a vital role in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring timely decision-making and patient stabilization during the 3:00 PM 11:00 PM shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments for individuals in crisis
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic intervention and appropriate referrals for continued care
• Collaborate closely with emergency medicine physicians, nurses, social workers, and security personnel to deliver coordinated, effective, and safe patient care.
