Emergency Medicine Specialist

The Opportunity: Emergency Medicine Specialist at Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority, located in Selkirk Regional Health Centre.

Job Overview: The Region is seeking qualified physicians to provide care in the Selkirk Regional Health Centre Emergency Department, with remuneration based on the provincial Physician Services Agreement.

Responsibilities: Shifts are of varying length, over a six-week period. A commitment to work days, afternoons, evenings and nights is required. A contract committing the region to this provision of shifts will be provided.

Qualifications:

• FRCPC or equivalent or Family Medicine Enhanced Skills in Emergency Medicine certificate
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
