Email Deliverability Engineer

About the role
This role focuses on ensuring smooth and secure email delivery operations, maintaining domain/IP reputation, and resolving deliverability issues. You will work across Linux-based mail systems, diagnose SMTP and authentication problems, and support clients with best-practice implementations.

What you’ll be responsible for?
Managing Linux environments, shell scripting tasks, DNS configurations, and MTA setups (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, Google Postmaster, etc.).
Investigating SMTP/SSL/TLS issues, resolving email deliverability or TechOps support tickets, and implementing email best practices for clients.
Monitoring system queues, logs, and overall email delivery health; maintaining strong IP/Domain reputation using tools like SNDS, Postmaster Tools, MXToolbox, etc.
Evaluating inbox placement, engagement metrics, delivery performance, bounce patterns, throttling, and delays; sharing recommendations and insights.
