Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Electronics Technician (Title 5) (Permanent), Position Description Number NGT7010000 and is part of the VA MTC, National Guard. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (Title 5), GS-0856-11, you will perform the following duties: Performs on-site maintenance and independent certification of complete systems or subsystems and components of electronic navigational aids and communications systems used in air traffic control for arriving and departing aircraft. Ensures equipment is functioning within prescribed tolerances and parameters. Exercises authority to withdraw malfunctioning systems or subsystems from service until such time as the equipment is functioning properly again.
