Electrician

About the Role

Reporting to the Public Works Supervisor, the Electrician performs skilled electrical work involving installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of electrical systems across District facilities, buildings, pump stations, and critical municipal infrastructure. This position involves independent work, collaboration with other trades, and a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Work may be completed indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and at heights or confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• Valid Class A FSR or willing to obtain.
• Valid BC or Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician Trade Certification (including Canadian Interprovincial Qualification (Red Seal) in the Trade of Electrician, BC Trade Qualification in Electrical Work (construction or industrial), or BC Exemption Permit in the Trade of Electrici...
