Downers Whanganui Energy & Utilities team is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter/Electrician to deliver installation, maintenance and fault repair across substations, transformers, HV/LV switchgear, regulators and wider distribution network equipment. This role offers variety with planned works, reactive maintenance, fault response and technical diagnostics. You’ll be part of a skilled crew responsible for delivering high‑quality technical work that keeps the network reliable. You’ll work closely with internal teams to assess requirements, estimate materials and support smooth project delivery. With access to strong procedures, industry‑leading safety frameworks and ongoing training, you’ll have the opportunity to continue building your skills across the substation and distribution environment.
