Electrical Engineer (South Slocan)

We’re hiring: Electrical Engineer - Induction Heating & Controls (Contract | 3-6 months | South Slocan, BC | $50-$60/hr)

DROP Sprockets Inc., part of Weller Metalworks, is looking for a hands‑on Electrical Engineer to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of induction heating and industrial control systems in our manufacturing plant.

This is a practical, plant‑floor engineering role focused on high‑power electrical systems, induction heating equipment, PLC controls, reliability, and process improvement.

Key areas of work include:

• Troubleshooting induction heating systems, including power supplies, coils, cooling systems, and heating consistency
• Supporting high‑power electrical systems, inverters, rectifiers, and high‑frequency power supplies
• Working with PLCs, HMIs, PID temperature control loops, safety interlocks, and machine protection systems
