Description: Detail oriented engineer with experience in the design of cables and harnesses for high reliability applications in harsh environments. AutoCAD required. The engineer shall work under the direction of a design lead, and create cable and harness assembly designs using MIL-SPEC components. Select the appropriate components including connectors, backshells, and cable. Perform analysis to determine the appropriate strain relief and sealing sizes. Create detailed design assembly drawings. Work with 3D routing modeler on the installation plan. Create wirelists and schematics. Update system level and hardware schematics. Create reference designator marking methods. Perform the proper wire shield termination for EMI/TEMPEST control.
