Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering bespoke capital machinery projects from concept through to final build.

This role involves full project ownership of machine electrical design, working closely with mechanical and software teams, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control circuits to British & European standards
• Low-voltage control panel design
• Component and cable selection
• Produce and update electrical drawings
• Ensure compliance with EN60204 and ISO13849
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of machine design

Essential Experience

• 5-10 years' experience within an engineering design office
• Strong electrical circuit and control panel design experience
