Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Lead Electrical Design Engineer – Power Generation
Responsibilities

+ Lead large electrical design projects for power generation and distribution systems, taking ownership of technical scope, schedule, and quality.

+ Design and develop power line systems and switchgear for medium and low voltage applications, including 13.8 kV systems.

+ Perform electrical load studies and power system analysis to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of generators, turbines, and associated equipment.

+ Design generator, turbine, and overall power system architectures, including protective relay schemes and power distribution layouts.

+ Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design drawings and bills of materials (BOM) to meet regulatory, safety, and customer requirements.

+ Apply NEC, IEC, UL, and hazardous location (HAZ) codes and standards to all electrical designs to ensure compliance and safety.
